CANCER OF TESTIS

Cancer  of the testis are rare.Of all primary testicular tumors, 90–95% are germ cell tumors including seminoma(cell that produce spermatozoa) and nonseminoma. Individuals in the higher socioeconomic classes have approximately twice the incidence of those in the lower classes.Cause of testis cancer is unknown.They are more common in testis which have not come to lie in scrotum and are present inside the abdomen.Testicular cancer is slightly more common on the right side than on the left.They present as scrotal mass with or without pain..Survival of patients with testicular cancer has improved dramatically in recent years, reflecting the development and refinement of effective combination chemotherapy.
